KNIGHT INDUSTRIES TWO-THOUSAND
This car originally came with a Trans-Am decal on the cowl induction hood scoop. After removing the hood from the car, the decal had to be grinded off... To make things a lot easier, we used aircraft paint stripper, and then shaved off the paint with a razor blade. Then the hood was grinded down to metal, and minor dents filled in with body filler. Next, we sprayed it with primer metal etcher, (the green looking paint .) Then, gray primer, and sanding, then it was ready for paint. Note that this had to be done for the entire car, and all of it's parts. Sanding to bare metal, etching, priming, resanding and filling, then priming and sanding again. Then and only then was the car ready for paint! A lot of work but well worth it in the end!
